Hello - I am a newbie to this. Right now I am on a robotics team. We have to design a robot that will shoot baskets at basketball hoops. The hoops have a rectangle of retroreflective tape on them - so we need a bright light source to shine toward the tape to enable our camera to read it. We have a 15 light "angel eyes" ring light that is used on cars, but it doesn't seem to be bright enough. Does anyone have ideas for what we should use instead?
I am not sure how bright the angle eyes ring is that you are using now, but you may want to give this assembly a try. I would expect you will find it considerably brighter as well as somewhat smaller.
